The PlayStation 5 is causing some great controversy amongst game fans and technology experts. That’s because everybody has different predictions about its release date. Most people think that it won’t be released until 2019 or even 2020, however a new theory has now become popular that it is going to be released next year. This comes from someone who managed to predict the release of the PS4 Slim and the PS4 Pro, so it could be more accurate than first meets the eye.

Sony themselves have been keeping very quiet on the subject. Perhaps this is due to the imminent release of the Xbox One X from its close competitors, Microsoft. With this new console in the pipeline, is the atmosphere right to whip people up into a frenzy about a new PlayStation that might not be released for years? Probably not. Sony are letting people speculate and will no doubt begin creating more of a buzz when the time is right.
